This striped calathea makes quite the impression with its striking pink and green foliage. It thrives in high humidity and with a consistent watering schedule. Considered a prayer plant, the leaves move with the rise and fall of the sun.

I was a bit hesitant given how finicky Calatheas can be but my bedroom was in dire need of some plant decor. I caved and took a chance with the Pinstripe. Fingers crossed it’ll survive. Looking to add another Calathea if this one flourishes.

Healthy thriving plant. After watering, it appears to be droopy. When it is moved to a room with a humidifier, I woke up to a perky plant. Love the big colorful leaves.
