Tradescantia Nanouk: Light Requirements & Temperature

  • Light: Tradescantia Nanouk (or Wandering Jew) grows best in bright but indirect sunlight, ideally on an east or north-facing window.
  • Temperature: Normal room temperature of 65°F to 75°F is the best for your plant. Temperatures below 50°F can damage your Tradescantia albiflora plant.

Tradescantia Nanouk: Watering & Humidity

  • Watering: Water regularly, so the soil stays moderately moist and dries between waterings. Waterlogged soil can lead to root rot.
  • Humidity: The Wandering Dude plant loves humidity. Aim for 50%-60% humidity for this tropical plant.

Wandering Jew: Soil, Fertilizer, and Repotting

  • Soil: Well-draining soil is essential for Tradescantias. Use perlite or sand to enhance drainage and aeration.
  • Fertilizer: Feed your plant monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer, diluted to half strength.
  • Repotting: Repot your Tradescantia Nanouk Pink Wandering Dude once a year or when it outgrows its pot.

Tradescantia Nanouk: Propagation

Find out how to propagate Tradescantia Nanouk to grow more of these charming plants! They’re very easy to propagate from cuttings. Just take several stem cuttings with 4-5 leaves attached, put them in a transparent vase, and fill with fresh water weekly until the roots form.

Tradescantia Nanouk: Pruning and Common Issues

Overwatering and underwatering are the most common things to watch out for when growing the pink Wandering Jew plant. Water less if you notice yellowing, soft leaves.
