Hoya Silver Splash Care: Growing Tips

Hoya Pubicalyx Splash care is easy, making this plant ideal for novice gardeners. Here’s what you need to know:

Hoya Silver Splash: Light Requirements & Temperature

  • Light: While it adapts to medium or artificial light, the Hoya Pubicalyx Splash will bloom only in bright, indirect light.
  • Temperature: The best temperatures for your Hoya Splash plant range from 60°F to 75°F.

Hoya Silver Splash: Watering & Humidity

  • Watering: Hoya plants require minimal watering; always let the soil dry before you water.
  • Humidity: High humidity is essential for correct Hoya Pubicalyx care. Mist this tropical plant regularly, or place it on a pebble tray.

Hoya Silver Splash: Soil, Fertilizer, and Repotting

  • Soil: Your Hoya Pubicalyx Silver Splash will grow best in chunky, well-draining soil mixed with bark, perlite, or peat.
  • Fertilizer: Feed twice a month with a phosphorus-rich, liquid fertilizer diluted at half strength if you want your Hoya Pubicalyx Splash to flower abundantly.
  • Repotting: Repot once every 2 years. Hoyas bloom better when they’re slightly rootbound, so don’t plant in a much larger pot.

Hoya Publicalyx: Propagation

For Hoya Pubicalyx propagation, take stem cuttings and plant them in moist but well-draining soil. Cover with a transparent plastic bag to keep moisture high.

Hoya Silver Splash: Problems and Pruning

Overwatering is the greatest hazard for this plant; stop watering if you notice yellowing leaves or a musty smell from the soil. When choosing your Hoya plant for sale, check it for pests, such as mealybugs or spider mites. Use an organic insecticide if necessary.

Pruning regularly is part of the routine Hoya Pubicalyx plant care. Trim any damaged or dried stems, but don’t remove healthy, leafless branches, as these are usually where the flower buds will form.
