Maranta leuconeura 'Lemon Lime'

This plant is from the tropics in Brazil and gets its nickname "prayer plant" from its leaves folding up at night, mimicking hands praying. It's been said this is an adaptation to ensure that roots get access to rainfall. It's vibrant, lemon lime variegation is a sight for sore eyes.

Low to bright indirect light. Direct light will scorch his leaves.


LG: ~10-12" tall and an 8" pot. Note that this size ships in a hanging basket, but the attached hanger can be removed.

Pro-tip: Use filtered water when watering, or let tap water sit for a day prior. This prevents leaf tip burn.

Beautiful lemon lime

Lemon lime prayer plant 6 inch pot

Shipping box was crushed when hand delivered to me plant was pushed sideways with a lot of soil loss repacked soil straightened plant best i could and it seems to be doing ok at this point.
