Maranta leuconeura 'Lemon Lime'

This plant is from the tropics in Brazil and gets its nickname "prayer plant" from its leaves folding up at night, mimicking hands praying. It's been said this is an adaptation to ensure that roots get access to rainfall. It's vibrant, lemon lime variegation is a sight for sore eyes.

Low to bright indirect light. Direct light will scorch his leaves.


LG: ~10-12" tall and an 8" pot. Note that this size ships in a hanging basket, but the attached hanger can be removed.

Pro-tip: Use filtered water when watering, or let tap water sit for a day prior. This prevents leaf tip burn.

Stunning!

I’ve wanted a maranta for quite a while. It has such a unique look and is very eye catching! I’ve seen them at other plant nurseries but they were expensive and not healthy looking. I took a chance and added this to cart and I am so glad I did!! This one is a wonderful size and it is full and very healthy looking! I can’t wait to order a red one!!
