Maranta leuconeura kerchoveana 'Variegata'
This plant is from the tropics in Brazil and gets its nickname "prayer plant" from its leaves folding up at night, mimicking hands praying. It's been said this is an adaptation to ensure that roots get access to rainfall. It's colorful variegation is a sight for sore eyes.
Low to bright indirect light. Direct light will scorch the leaves.
LG: ~10-12" tall and an 8" pot. Note that this size ships in a hanging basket, but the attached hanger can be removed.
Pro-tip: Use filtered water when watering, or let tap water sit for a day prior. This prevents leaf tip burn.
