Elephant Bush
Portulacaria afra

Hailing from South Africa, her thick reddish brown succulent stems and tiny green leaves set her apart. In the wild, she is a popular snack for elephants. In the right conditions, she can bloom small pink flowers that grow in clusters.

Sunlight:Bright indirect light mixed with direct exposure is ideal.

Water:Every 2-3 weeks. Allow soil to dry out completely.

Pets:Loves pets (unless they're elephants).

Size:About 6" tall and a pot size of 4".

Travel:That two-week safari in South Africa is looking good.

Pro-tip: She goes dormant in colder months, so you can slow watering down to once a month.
