Maranta leuconeura 'Lemon Lime'

This plant is from the tropics in Brazil and gets its nickname "prayer plant" from its leaves folding up at night, mimicking hands praying. It's been said this is an adaptation to ensure that roots get access to rainfall. It's vibrant, lemon lime variegation is a sight for sore eyes.

Low to bright indirect light. Direct light will scorch his leaves.

SM: ~10-12" tall and a 4" pot.
MD: ~10" tall and a 6" pot.
LG: ~10-12" tall and an 8" pot. Note that this size ships in a hanging basket, but the attached hanger can be removed.

Pro-tip: Use filtered water when watering, or let tap water sit for a day prior. This prevents leaf tip burn.

Came in perfect

My lemon lime prayer plant was very well packaged and had no damage to it. It's been a few weeks and already has good new growth on it. So much so I've had to repot it already! It's a good problem to have. Will definitely order again!

Updating my collection.

This another great purchase from Rooted. Received a very healthy plant. The caring packaging of the plant before shipping is amazing. I believed this is a third plant I bought from Rooted. Awaiting the next one, Calathea Zebrina.

She's beautiful!
